BUSINESSMAIL is an extension to Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange that allows employees in a department/business unit to collaborate as a team around shared e-mail communication. This ensures insight, visibility, and knowledge sharing in all e-mail communication.

Today, the e-mail communication is too dependent on individuals, and e-mails for a department are often received by one individual who either distributes the e-mail or assigns tasks on the basis of the context in the incoming e-mail. This creates a number of problems:

• Critical information is stored in individual e-mail inboxes and thus, the information is not available for others in the department.
• Critical information is often lost in an individual e-mail inbox.
• Processing of inquiries becomes dependent on one person.
• Missing overview of who has (or should) attended an e-mail.

• Employees are spending too much time on reading through, often irrelevant e-mails, to ensure that important information is not lost.
• Knowledge is lost when passing on cases.

• Encrypting and decrypting e-mails is dependent on a person with the risk of blocking cases etc.

BUSINESSMAIL is the solution to all of the above problems. BUSINESSMAIL combines the personal e-mail and the function based e-mail for a department/business unit so no one "works alone". The information in e-mails is accessible for all employees and a complete overview over who has attended which e-mails is ensured. Furthermore, the case progress and the content in all e-mails are visible to all employees.
